The story behind my drawings

Before finding the gentle and poetic universe that now defines La Monita Studio, I explored many styles and techniques.
This journey, made up of trials, detours, and curiosity, allowed me to shape a visual language that reflects me: round, sensitive, and luminous illustrations.

My years spent traveling and living in different countries also nourished my perspective: they broadened my sensitivity, enriched my palette, and strengthened my desire to celebrate the diversity of women.

Based in Angers, I create a committed and inclusive universe, driven by the desire to represent women in all their diversity: varied skin tones, multiple hair textures, different identities and stories.
Even if all my silhouettes share this roundness that is my signature, each carries her own nuance, her own presence.

My characters are all nude, drawn with simple outlines and an almost childlike aesthetic.
Yet, they carry deeply adult messages: free, natural, self-assured women.
Their nudity is not suggestive: it is non-sexualized, gentle, symbolic—a way of showing the body as a space of freedom, tenderness, and acceptance.

I create all my illustrations entirely digitally, drawing each shape and expression with particular attention to movement, emotion, and softness.
I love to imagine posters and stationery that accompany people in their small daily moments.

And sometimes, amidst my free and luminous women, a cat appears.
That's normal: I love them too much to stop drawing them—I tried, but it didn't last very long.

The name La Monita came naturally: a small Spanish-speaking touch that echoes an important part of my history. A gentle, simple, and warm name that perfectly reflects the spirit of my universe.
