At La Monita Studio, we create illustrations and everyday objects designed to last. The idea is not to produce more, but to produce better.

FSC or PEFC certified paper

Illustrations, bookmarks and paper products are printed on FSC or PEFC certified paper depending on the design, ensuring an origin from responsibly managed forests.

Eco-responsible packaging

Plastic-free shipments. In stores, PLA is only used for illustrations larger than 15×15 cm; all small formats are packaged in NatureFlex, a home-compostable cellulose film.

• PLA: bioplastic made from starch (corn, sugar cane, etc.), industrially compostable.
• NatureFlex: real cellulose, home compostable.

Products designed to last

Our creations are not designed as disposable items.
We choose solid materials and quality printing so that they accompany you for a long time.

Recycling & End of Life

• Paper is recyclable.
• Magnets are composite products (plastic + magnetic material) and cannot be recycled as is.
• Bookmark magnets can be recycled with metal if your recycling center accepts metal or ferrite parts (often under "scrap metal / metal").
• Stickers are not recyclable alone due to the adhesive, but can be recycled when stuck on recyclable plastic, depending on local channels.

An evolving approach

We remain a small, independent structure.
We do our best at every stage (choice of materials, small-batch production, packaging) to limit our impact.

It's not perfect, but it's thoughtful.

And because this approach also involves the way we manufacture, the majority of our creations are produced in France: illustrations, message cards and several bookmarks. Stickers, magnets and certain bookmarks are printed and cut in England, but always illustrated and assembled in France. We are evolving our production choices to gradually move towards 100% French manufacturing.
